Kayt's Background
Kayt Raymond is a trained high school teacher who worked in high schools for the NSW Education Department before going into corporate life. There she worked in senior executive positions for two multinational corporations and has worked in the USA, UK, South Africa, Asia, New Zealand and Australia.
Kayt then set up her own consulting business and designed and conducted programmes for government, independent and catholic high schools, teaching students, giving presentations at Regional Conferences for Principals, and conducting in service programmes for teachers and counsellors in NSW and parts of Queensland.
Under the auspices of the various school systems, she introduced programmes about:
- self esteem for girls (based on the research at the time that found girls had lower self esteem than boys);
- living skills;
- stress recognition and management for senior students; and
- transition from school to work.
Kayt is also a positive psychology practitioner building leadership and capability by offering positive education, positive psychology and positive leadership programmes in high schools and businesses for individuals and groups.
She is particularly interested in character strengths, optimism and pessimism, psychological capital, and resilience, as ways to leverage wellbeing, meaning, satisfaction and performance. These contribute to an optimistic culture and happier staff and students.

Testimonials
"I'd often thought that about what sort of leader I'd be if ever I had the opportunity... I dreamt of how I would be able to lead people and drive success, and my success would be measured on how well I did that. Together we discovered this. Thank you.
You have taught me so many things during our sessions; character strengths, thinking models, emotional intelligence, personality types. The most valuable and unexpected change has been the way you helped me link all of my latent parts into a whole. You brought together my inner strengths by encouraging them to surface and matching them up with my purpose in life. I would have never put it together myself; I didn't even have an inkling they could be put together...
Kayt, you have challenged me, made me question myself, always positive and genuine in your belief in me. I always felt comfortable and capable... I've enjoyed our sessions so much. What a wonderful journey it has been." - Iain Gorry, Managing Director, Van Den Berg Design Team Pty. Ltd.
"It was so good to be inspired by you Kayt. I felt full of possibilities today and have already started implementing what I learnt at your session. I love it when training is mind-changing and practical." - Charmaine Moldrich
"My two groups of CEOs really enjoyed your interactive presentations and facilitation. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, knowledge and practical examples - a great learning and life changing experience!" - Hon. Susan Lenehan, Chair of CEO Syndicate Groups 43 and 120
"It's great talking with you about positive psychology and its application in schools both nationally and internationally." - Arthur Andrews, High School Teacher and Mentor
